I have been working hard to get other sites to link to mine.

Recently over 4,890 sites now link back to mine, up from about 3,500 -2 months ago.

I have also created over 500 pages of content now for the site.

The plan is to have over 1,000 by the end of summer. I have also created a Satellite Radio directory which is accessable by going to TopSatelliteRadio.com/directory.

The google toolbar Page Rank is still a PR3, but no updates have been made at google since the last post regarding PR.

TopSatelliteRadio.com Enjoying Huge Increase in Traffic!

A huge Search Engine Optimization overhaul of the site has allowed for a large increase in traffic and rankings in the SERPs (Search Engine Ranking Pages). I have changed the homepage's keywords that I want to target, I am now going after 3 specific keywords:

Satellite Radio
Satellite Radio Reviews
Satellite Radio Receivers

By changing the "behind the scenes" coding in the majority of the site, I have allowed the SERPs to rank the site higher than any other point in the sites history.

Due to huge rankings at MSN, about 40% of my traffic comes from those SERPs. The overhaul of the site is designed to increase my SERP rankings for google, which it has. I need to attain more Back Links (sites that link to me) in order to be more competitive in google and yahoo.

New Domains for Marketing Strategies

I have done a lot of interesting new things since the last post.
I have purchased some new Domain names for marketing purposes:

BecomeSEO.com
SEObecome.com
Both of these are going to be for sites that relate to Search Engine Optimization of the new Become.com Search engine. This SE is based more on comparison shopping and promises to cut out the advertising and marketing sites. I also want to use these names to create a site that shows you how you can have your site become SEO-ized. I am in the planning process for these two concepts, they should be done before the end of the summer.

The Site is based solely on Doorway page marketing. I have created litereally 2,5000 pages on this site that are all keyword specific targeted. Through doing this, if anyone searches for those keywords, hopefully my site will come up within the first 3 results. This creates a doorway to my main site, TopSatelliteradio.com.

This is one of the only available "SatelliteRadio" websites at this moment. I decided to register it for 2 years since it is a top-level domain, meaning that it is the exact keyword for the topic with out any additions. This site will aslo be used for marketing and Back Link purposes.

Find.Club
This is a new extention that became available recently. I have decided to register the domain for a future directory site. I am torn on whether to create a site strictly related to Clubs and the nightlife or whether it should be a national club directory for all types of clubs, not just nightlife.

Strictly for resale purposes. One of the largest adult sites is light speed girls. Pretty soon, a new law will pass and require all adult sites to register a domain name with thier name in it with the .xxx extension. I picked up this domain today in order to resell it to the company, hopefully for a good price. If they are not interested I will create a set of doorway pages

I have really been enjoying learning over the last 3 months about search engine optimization (SEO). This is a huge step for me, I do know how to create websites, but now I am able to properly market them through natural search engine placement.

I am taking what I learned....

Learning about something is one thing, but putting it into action is another.
I am testing my knowledge on a very hard category regarding SEO. Gambling and Online Casinos. It seems like there are millions of gambline websites - and there are!

A Focused Approach...

In order to be successful in SEO, you must take a very focused approach when targeting keywords.

I have decided to focus my efforts on the keywords:

A task in it's self is deciding which keywords to target. I wanted to target this set of keywords because they are middle of the road for search terms relating to gambling. Of course if you target words like "casino" "Poker" or "gambling" you have a chance at getting into the millions of search queries per month. But the game is TOO BIG for these words. Those, millions of gambling websites are all vieing for those broad keywords.

Think small, but go big...

I am focusing my SEO tactics (and yes, they are tactics) on keywords that generate roughly 100,000 searches on Overture, and roughly 279,000 searches on Google. Obviously this is a far cry from the millions of searches mentioned before.

This is a good thing. I have less competition!

If I can place within the top page on google and Overture(Yahoo!) searches for the keywords that I want to target, I could generate anywhere between 30,000-100,000 hits per month This by doing it naturally too! Not through Pay Per Click. Which means, my only cost is to maintain the website and invest some time in researching my competition. Which I may add, the 1st page for these keywords, has roughly 9/10 un-optimized websites. If I can research the keyword density and linking structures that they use- And then do it better than them - I can literally give them a run for their money.

Time to Choose a Domain Name...

Under normal conditions it would make sense for me to choose a domain name (the URL) that relates to my companies name, or an easily recognized and typed in word. This is not the case regarding SEO. One if the strongest strategies employed it to use a Hyphenated Domain name that specifically uses the keywords that you want to target. Remember we're going after relevancy in search engines, not a domain name that is "easy to remember".

This domain name I chose based on the keywords that I wanted to target. It uses every single keyword. It is absolutely perfect regarding using the hyphenated strategy.

Currently XM and Sirius Satellite Radio are only available in the United States and some canada/mexico. However, WorldSpace is a company that provides Satellite Radio to Africa, Asia and Europe.

I took the initiative this weekend to purchase the domain name:

SatelliteRadio.org.uk

This has a designation of an Organization in the United Kingdom. It was the only " www.satelliteradio.com " website avail.

This is a Top Level domain name, meaning that the product being discribed,(Satellite Radio) is the only words in the domain name. This is valuable because visitors searching for satellite radio in the UK may simply type in the URL, versus them needing to know the name of a website(like TopSatelliteRadio.com) I will incorporate this website into my other businesses by bringing content about WorldSpace onto it and use the site as a strong link partner for TopSatelliteRadio.com

I will announce my usage plans of this website in the future, but for now, I am going to use it as a Top Level domain name which will help drive traffic to TopSatelliteRadio.

It has been a good amount of time that TopSatelliteRadio.com has been active. I want to give an update as to how the website has been doing regarding attracting customers.
